Norco, Riverside County
Norco, short for North Corona, was founded in 1923 by Rex Clark as a community of small farms. It incorporated in 1964 and calls itself Horsetown USA: many streets have dirt horse trails in place of sidewalks, and shops along Sixth Street provide hitching rails. Clark also built a lavish lakeside resort here in 1929 that later became a Navy hospital.
